Self now allows you to take care of your health even more easily and comprehensively than before. There are now new service forms available, including health promotion services that are open to everyone.

Teija Kulmala appointed FSHS Medical Director 

Teija Kulmala D.Med.Sc., Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, took up her duties as the FSHS’s new Medical Director on 8 August 2022. Kulmala will be responsible for FSHS services, developing service production and for reporting.

Changes to mental health chat services

The extensive mental health chat services introduced last summer and autumn were part of the mental health services enabled by government grant. This summer will bring some changes to these chat services.

The FSHS own service units are open on Holy Thursday 14th of April from 8.00 am to 12.30 pm. The national phone services will serve on Holy Thursday from 8.00 am to 12.00 pm.

Study community work key project of 2021 chosen

The video project “Kyykyllä opiskelukykyä” (‘Squats for the ability to study’) has been chosen as the key project of 2021. The videos, produced by students from Lahti, were designed to motivate people to exercise.

The FSHS student panel´s year 2021

During the first year of the FSHS student panel new ideas were put forward for developing activities. The panel’s members made important contributions to issues such as improving the Self online service and finalisation of the new guide for student health meetings.

Check the opening times for Christmas and New Year

FSHS’s digital and remote services operate in a normal manner on weekdays. The nationwide telephone services for the need for treatment assessments and service guidance are available Mon-Thurs from 8.00 am to 3.00 pm and Fri from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm.

The nationwide FSHS phone service to receive an update

The callback system used for the nationwide FSHS service numbers will be changed, with updates to the service. The system update will improve our phone service and make using our services simpler. Service numbers and hours will remain the same. The new system will be introduced between 10 and 15 December 2021.
