We at the FSHS serve students in higher education institutions throughout the summer. The service offering for the summer is adapted to the lower demand during the summer period.
Our digital and remote services will operate on all weekdays. Local services will also be well available. Any exceptions to our services can be seen on this page.

The assessment of the need for treatment and our digital services will serve you on weekdays according to normal opening hours.
- SelfChat will be open on weekdays from Monday to Friday 9 am–11 am.
- The service line for hearing-impaired customers on SelfChat will serve according to its opening hours.
- The nationwide telephone services will be available Mon–Thurs from 8 am to 3 pm and Fri from 8 am to 2 pm.

Ascension Day
All our own service units, SelfChat, and the national service numbers will be closed on Ascension Day, Thursday, 29 May 2025. Our partners’ service units will serve according to their own opening hours.
Midsummer Eve
All our own service units, SelfChat, and the national phone service numbers will be closed on Midsummer Eve, Friday 20 June 2025. Our partners’ service units will serve according to their own opening hours.

Local appointments

- The service units in Tulli and Hervanta in Tampere will be open on weekdays throughout the summer.
- There are no local appointments for general and mental health or oral health at the service unit in Hämeenlinna from 30 June to 11 July 2025.
- There are no local appointments for general and mental health or oral health at the service unit in Seinäjoki from 26 June to 18 July 2025.
Exceptions to opening hours for patient offices (general advice, paperwork) in FSHS Central
- The patient office at the service unit in Hämeenlinna will be closed from 16 June to 11 July 2025 (other weeks open Wed–Fri from 10 am to 11 am).
- The patient office at the service unit in Seinäjoki will be closed from 23 June to 18 July 2025 (other weeks open Mon and Tue from 10 am to 11 am).

- There are no local appointments for oral health at the service unit in Jyväskylä from 28 July to 1 August 2025.

- There are no local appointments for oral health at the service unit in Joensuu from 21 July to 1 August 2025.
- There are no local appointments for general and mental health at the service unit in Mikkeli from 14 July to 25 July 2025.

- The patient office at the service unit in Joensuu will be open from 2 June to 31 July, Tue and Thu from 1 pm to 2 pm (open other weeks Mon–Thu from 1 pm to 2 pm).

- The patient office at the service unit in Helsinki, Malmi will be closed on 30 May 2025, and from 23 June to 25 July 2025 (open other weeks during the service unit’s opening hours). If necessary, the info point at the service unit in Helsinki, Töölö serves Mon–Fri from 9 am to 11 am and from 12 pm to 2 pm.
- The patient office at the service unit in Lahti will be closed from 2 June to 6 June 2025, and from 7 July to 10 August 2025 (open other weeks Mon–Wed from 12 pm to 1:30 pm).
- The patient office at the service unit in Lappeenranta will be closed on 30 June 2025, and from 7 July to 15 August 2025 (open other weeks Mon–Wed from 9 am to 11 am).
FSHS West

Our partners service units
Our partners service units serve during the summer according to their own opening hours.
The services can only be used when registered as present for the semester
In order to use FSHS services, including the Self online service and remote services, you must be registered as an attending student. Please note, that the transfer of the information regarding your enrollment comes with a small delay to us.
If you have registered as an attending student for the spring semester 2025, the right to use FSHS´s services will continue until 31 July 2025. You must register as an attending student for the autumn semester 2025 in order to use our services also in August 2025. The autumn semester starts on 1 August 2025.
Please cancel any appointments reserved for the autumn semester if you do not continue your studies during the autumn semester and your right to use the FSHS services ends at the end of the spring semester on 31 July 2025. The appointments are not canceled automatically, and you must manage the cancellation yourself if you want to avoid paying a fee for unattended appointments.
