On 6 May 2026, we will launch a new digital service platform for higher education students. The app allows you to use FSHS services digitally, either via a mobile app downloaded to your phone or through a web browser. With YTHSDigi, you can take care of health-related matters at a time that suits you best. YTHSDigi brings all FSHS digital services together in one place.
New opportunities for digital services
YTHSDigi will replace the Self online service that has previously been in use at FSHS. YTHSDigi offers you more versatile and smoother ways to manage your health matters digitally than before.
In YTHSDigi you can, among other things:
- contact us for an assessment of your need of treatment
- message a professional about ongoing treatment
- join a video appointment
- explore self-care materials on digital paths
- manage your appointments
- complete service forms
- respond to the first-year student health questionnaire.
Digital paths to support self-care
The materials available on digital pathways are intended as tools for self-care in situations where symptoms are mild and self-care is sufficient.
Digital paths can also be used alongside appointments as part of treatment. Digital self-care materials have been shown to be effective in healthcare, and with the new digital service we will offer them as part of our services more extensively than before.
On the digital paths, you can, among other things, get help with
- Different Contraception Methods
- Self-care for Temporomandibular Disorders
- Mental Well-Being
- Concentration Challenges
- Oral Self-Care
- Travel Health and Tuberculosis Risk Assessment
In addition, digital paths include guidance on using services intended for students in the social and healthcare field, as well as information for international students.
The current Self online service will close permanently on Wednesday 5 May at 16:00. If you need to reschedule an appointment, you can do so from 6 May onwards in the YTHSDigi service. Please note that messages you have exchanged with an FSHS professional in Self will not be transferred to the new service platform.
The separate chat line for hearing-impaired students that has been in use in Self will be discontinued. YTHSDigi’s new chat will have longer opening hours than previously and will serve all students, including hearing-impaired students.
International degree students who may not have Finnish online banking credentials can contact FSHS via the nationwide telephone service. They will have access to all FSHS services through in-person appointments at FSHS service units.
