It’s that time of year again when influenza viruses are beginning to be active. Vaccination is a good way to protect yourself against influenza.
Those students who belong to any of the high-risk groups defined by THL (National Institute for Health and Welfare, available only in Finnish and Swedish) can get vaccinated free of charge. Depending on where you are studying FSHS or student city’s health center will inject the vaccine.
Students who are not at high risk can call the FSHS to request a prescription and buy the vaccine from their local pharmacy and the FSHS will inject the vaccine. In some cities, the vaccination is given by city’s health center.
