Influenza vaccinations at FSHS will be scheduled for late autumn

Influenza vaccinations at the FSHS will be scheduled for late autumn. As a higher education student, please follow fshs.fi if you need an influenza vaccination. Instructions for booking appointments and additional information on the practical arrangements will be published on our website during October.

Influenza vaccination appointments not yet available

Please note that influenza vaccination appointments cannot be booked yet. Unfortunately, we are unable to respond to advance inquiries about influenza vaccinations by phone.

The exact start date of the vaccinations depends on when FSHS receives the vaccines. In previous years, vaccinations have started by November at the latest.

Who can get the vaccine for free?

Social and healthcare students in higher education, as well as students belonging to a risk group can receive their influenza vaccinations from the FSHS free of charge. A person who belongs to a risk group can get vaccinated through the public sector as well.

Please note that if you belong to a risk group and want to get both the influenza vaccination and the corona vaccination at the same time, you should contact your own wellbeing services county. FSHS does not provide corona vaccinations.

Influenza vaccination at your own expense

If you’re not a social and healthcare student or don’t belong to a risk group but would like to receive the influenza vaccine, the FSHS can provide you with a vaccine prescription when the influenza vaccinations start. You can then purchase the vaccine at a pharmacy at your own expense.

Where can you get the vaccination?

Higher education students can receive the influenza vaccination either at an FSHS service unit or at a partner service unit in their study location. In some locations, vaccination events may also be arranged on campus.

Students can visit any FSHS service unit for their vaccination, but partner units will only vaccinate students in higher education studying in these towns.
