Annika Saarikko elected Managing Director of FSHS
The Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS) Board of Trustees elected Annika Saarikko, Master of Arts, Member of Parliament, the new Managing Director. She will start in the position in September.

Demolition work at FSHS Töölö service unit – some oral health appointments rescheduled
Demolition work, including asbestos removal, will be carried out at the FSHS Töölö service unit premises. Some of the reception facilities will be out of use during the demolition.
An online service form for STD testing
The FSHS offers testing for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) to higher education students. Students need to complete the symptom assessment form or call the FSHS’s service number.
FSHS´s summer opening hours 2025
We will serve students throughout the summer. The digital and remote services will operate on all weekdays. Possible exceptions in local services have been listed on this article page.
Risk consumption of alcohol has become more common among female higher education students
Risk consumption was reported in almost one third of the students: in 33% of males and in approximately 28% of females.
The FSHS will offer mental health services in accordance with the new therapy guarantee requirements to higher education students aged under 23
A therapy guarantee, intended to ensure speedy access to mental health services within primary care for those under 23, will take effect on 1 May 2025.
