Access to care
In accordance with the care guarantee legislation, non-urgent medical or dental examination or treatment deemed necessary shall be provided within three months of the assessment in the case of general and mental health and within six months of the assessment in the case of oral health.
Access to care refers to the beginning of the treatment process in health care, e.g. an appointment after the assessment of the need for treatment. At the moment one might need to wait for further treatment after the first contact.

Your treatment at the FSHS starts when someone from your healthcare team contacts you to create a treatment plan and decide on any treatment procedures. The diagrams depict the number of days within which treatment was started in general and mental healthcare in the different FSHS service areas.
In accordance with the care guarantee requirements, patients should have access to general and mental health care within 90 days after the assessment of the need for treatment. These times for accessing care comply with the care guarantee legislation.
