Trialling a new service: Assess your symptoms using our electronic system

Oct 31, 2018

Do you ever wonder whether you should see a doctor about your symptoms or whether you could actually treat them at home? You can now use the new electronic symptom assessment service by the FSHS to identify and assess your symptoms.

The easy-to-use system will prompt you to provide details of the reason for your contact. The details you enter in the service will be transferred automatically to the correct person, and your case will be processed even faster and more smoothly than before. You’ll receive guidance by a professional, instructions for self-care or a referral to meet our staff.

We’ll be running a pilot project to test an electronic symptom assessment service between 1 November 2018 and 28 February 2019. During the pilot project, FSHS sites will provide limited access to the service. For oral health, the electronic symptom assessment tool will be available at all sites. For general health, the sites participating in the pilot project are Tampere, Lappeenranta, Joensuu, Vaasa, Rovaniemi and Jyväskylä.

You’ll find the electronic symptom assessment tool in the Self online service through which the majority of students’ electronic communications are channelled.
