The student health care system assesses the need for the treatment of teeth damaged in previous accidents. Treatment can be carried out under the national health service, at the FSHS, or privately depending on whether the accident took place at school and whether an insurance company has agreed to reimburse the cost of treatment.
At the FSHS, the repair of dental damage occurring during studies and the replacement of lost teeth are mostly performed for occlusion-related reasons; damage to front teeth can also be corrected for aesthetic reasons.
- It is a good idea to have insurance cover for accidents occurring during free time. Treatments to repair accident-related dental damage are often laborious and therefore costly.
