Laboratory examinations are only available if you have a referral by an FSHS doctor or public health nurse.

Exceptions to our regular service hours:
If New Year's Eve, Maundy Thursday or 30 April falls on a weekday from Monday to Friday, only urgent emergency examinations are available on the day.

When you have make reservation to an appointment you will get password with you can cancel or change your appointment.

HOW TO TAKE A SAMPLE AT HOME
For instructions and sample containers for samples taken at home, visit the laboratory on a business day between 7.45 and 15.00.

You can drop your sample to the laboratory taking the keynumber: MUU ASIOINTI, when you come before 12 a.m. When you arrive at the laboratory after 12 p.m. please ring the doorbell.

LABORATORY TEST RESULTS
Instructions regarding how and from whom you will receive the results of your laboratory tests are provided by the FSHS staff member who gave you the referral for the tests. (Results are not available from our lab staff.) If you were not informed about this, make a phone appointment with your doctor/public health nurse on 046 710 1050.

IMAGING EXAMINATIONS
You need a referral by an FSHS doctor for imaging examinations (X-ray, ultrasound, etc).

Other things to remember: Laboratory examinations are only available if you have a referral by an FSHS doctor or public health nurse. Please note that you may have to fast before your laboratory test. If the test name code begins with the letter f (such as in fP-Gluk), you may not eat or drink anything (except for a little bit of water) for 10-12 hours before the test.
