Treatment need assessments and appointments: Laboratory tests are mainly available from Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 9.00. You will need to make an appointment in advance and you must always have a referral by an FSHS doctor or public health nurse. An appointment for a lab test can be made when you get your referral or you can call the patient office on 046 710 1080. Unless otherwise agreed, to receive the results of your lab tests call the referring public health nurse or doctor.
Imaging: Suomen Terveystalo, Brahenkatu 3, 53100 Lappeenranta X-ray and ultrasound examinations are only available on the basis of a referral by an FSHS doctor and carried out at a private imaging unit. You will receive instructions on how to make an appointment in conjunction with your referral. Magnetic resonance imaging is not part of the FSHS service range.
How to cancel an appointment: To cancel a laboratory appointment call the patient office on 046 710 1080 or use the appointment cancellation form. To cancel an imaging examination contact the Suomen Terveystalo appointment reservations service directly.

Treatment need assessments and appointments: If your medication is working well and there have not been any problems with it, in most cases your prescription can be renewed without you having to see a doctor. Bring your prescription to the patient office or to a public health nurse. You can pick up the renewed prescription from the patient office in three business days' time.

Where to call if our health centre is closed: Make sure you renew your prescription in good time before you run out! Prescription renewals are available on a limited basis, but please be prepared to wait for 3 to 5 days.
Other things to remember: Please note that some prescriptions, especially those for medications affecting the central nervous system, cannot be renewed without an appointment with a doctor. You will also need to see a doctor if the effect of your medication is not as expected or if you suspect you are having some side effects.

You can still make a reservation for a non-urgent appointment by calling the nurse, if necessary, or visit our Lappeenranta health centre.
