Appointments and laboratory tests: Laboratory examinations are only available if you have a referral by an FSHS doctor or nurse. To make an appointment visit an FSHS nurse or call 046 710 6551 from Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 13.00.

Exceptions to our regular service hours: If New Year's Eve, Maundy Thursday or 30 April falls on a weekday from Monday to Friday, our laboratory closes at 13.00.
Other things to remember: Laboratory examinations are only available if you have a referral by an FSHS doctor or nurse. Please note that you may have to fast before your laboratory test. If the test name code begins with the letter f (such as in fP-Gluk), you may not eat anything for 10-12 hours before the test.

Prescription renewals: Bring the prescription you would like to renew with you to the nurse's appointment. The nurse will tell you if the prescription can be renewed without you seeing a doctor or if you need an appointment with a doctor.
Birth control prescription renewals: For birth control prescriptions you will need to see a doctor and have a cervical smear (Pap test) taken every three years. In the meantime you can bring the prescription to the nurse's appointment for renewal.
Allergy medication prescription renewals: Bring the prescription you would like to renew with you to the nurse's appointment. The nurse will tell you if the prescription can be renewed without you seeing a doctor or if you need an appointment with a doctor.
