Acute treatment

Treatment need assessments and appointments: Call 046 710 1068 from Monday to Thursday between 8.00 and 15.00 and on Fridays from 8.00 to 14.00. In urgent cases you should contact in the morning between 8.00 and 9.00. Our public health nurse will assess your need for treatment, give treatment instructions or make an appointment with a public health nurse or general practioner. LABORATORY EXAMINATIONS

Laboratory examinations are only available if you have a referral by an FSHS doctor or public health nurse.

Laboratory appointments can be checked, cancelled or booked at  www.yths.fi/laboratory

 
Laboratory test results: Instructions regarding how and from whom you will receive the results of your laboratory tests are provided by the FSHS staff member who gave you the referral for the tests. (Results are not available from our lab staff.) If you were not informed about this, make a phone appointment with your doctor/public health nurse.

IMAGING EXAMINATIONS

Other things to remember: Advice about self-care and prevention of musculoskeletal problems (those affecting your muscles, nerves, joints, tendons, ligaments, cartilage or spinal disks) and physical exercise is available without a referral. To attend individual physiotherapy you will need a referral from an FSHS doctor. Assistive device lending: The service is available free of charge. Prescription renewals

How to get advice over the phone: For instructions on how to renew your prescription call our general health  046 710 1068 from Monday to Thursday between 8.00 and 15.00 and on Friday between 8.00 to 14.00.

Other things to remember:  The renewal of some prescriptions requires an appointment with a doctor or public health nurse. Make sure you renew your prescription in good time before you run out!
