Non-urgent treatment

Non-urgent treatment is provided at appointments scheduled following assessment of treatment need. The waiting times for treatment vary depending on the number of people queuing for treatment. In connection with assessment of treatment need, you will be given an estimate of how long you will have to wait to get an appointment. You will also be told how you will be informed of your scheduled appointment.

In General Health, treatment is provided at scheduled appointment with a public health nurse or general practitioners, while in Mental Health, treatment is provided at appointments with a social worker, psychologist or a psychiatrist.
