Traumatic events facing the community

When a group of students or a community is faced with a sudden, traumatic event (e.g. accident or sudden death), the local FSHS unit should be contacted to explain what happened. The unit staff will provide more detailed instructions and information about assessing the situation and potential arrangement of a crisis session (cantca information, scheduling). 

Traumatic events facing an individual student

When an individual student is faced with a sudden, traumatic event (e.g. accident or sudden death of a loved one), it is a good idea to contact the local FSHS unit as soon as possible and explain what happened. The student is directed to a health care professional as soon as possible for an assessment of possible need of support and its urgency.
